on the Official Ballot for the 2007 Grammy Awards in the following categories:

The RARA AVIS's production can be considered an Italian/English production with characteristic British because of the combination of a female voice in English mother language and Italian musicians. The music contract in 2003 with a music label in , the positive confirmation by a big public are encouraging signals to keep working hard. But a very significant step has been made lately: an important American Agency (
Providence , ) specialized in research of musical talent and in their promotion is taking care of RARA AVIS! We are talking about, never the less, Big Noise (Al Gomes and A. Michelle) which counts among their artists: Christina Aguilera, I Chicago, Patti Rothberg...and lots more. The latest music experience in music festivals are: Portacomarock, Controfestival, Tavagnascorock, Hitfestival, Fantastica 2004 but also there are a good number of presence in radio and TV, just to say a few: Rai Tre, Telesette, Topitalia Radio, Radio Stereo Due, Look Channel. The music production concretes at first with cd FRIENDS , and in 2004 with album LIFE OF A HOMELESS with 8 songs and a unplugged live personal version of the song Father and Son (C. Stevens) . But its at the beginning of the year 2006, after two years of hard but wonderful work that the band produces the new cd RARA AVIS with ten songs, all in English, 40 minutes of a well mixed atmosphere. The band has a long experience in live music and its in these occasions too, that the public can find the versatility of the music genre, because different are the tastes and music origins of each of the group members. At the moment Rara Avis band is composed by Elisa (vocals), Gianni (guitar), Valter (bass), Daniele (drums). The band is playing, planning and preparing itself for new concerts, and is constantly working on new songs
In October 2007 Rara Avis signed a production and distribution deal with the American Independent Label Renaissance Records. The album "Broken Promises" will be available in stores on February 19, 2008.For more information see www.cdthen.net
